FOOD in the Philippines

Food is essential to all things living and as being
here in the Philippines could be anything from High
end to Low end depending of financial background that
is. This post will explore the realm of Filipino food
from the Famous to the infamous. To the popular and
the less popular if there is such, Basically from a
dinner’s point of view of course depending on my budget.

My First Stop is Fast Food.
If your ask a child. What do you want to go and eat?
Chances are the child would say "Jollibee".....
Indeed Jollibee is a big name in the Philippines.
In fact its a leader in fast food in the Philippines.


Growing up in the 80’s I remember seeing Jollibee ads
on tv. I would directly ask my mom to buy me some of
those. Unfortunately during 80’s there weren’t really
that many branch store in the province, Mactan Island
in particular you need to go first to Cebu and that
would take for ever.
One of the secret of Jollibee's success story can be
trace to how it present itself to the public "fun and
happy ads" Are just one of the key elements to it’s
success. And the price cater common people. And the
result is that everywhere you go "Jollibee" branch is
just around a corner, it's already a house hold name.

Life has it's limits

Life is full with ups and downs.
No matter how hard we try to make good
there will always walls one bigger than the other.
Most of the time we either go over it or go around it
and in some point go through it.
A journey that all of us must take.
A journey that is life.

At times we win and at times we lose and yet
as every event ends life goes on.
Even those who have more than enough, still need
to do more at the very end.
To maintain or obtain more of what they have.
And on the other side of things, there are those
who do everything and still end up with little
or nothing at all.
Worst for those who have nothing, that I don’t
dare to say what they’ve got.


We are born with hopes and dream.
We are born to toil and strive.
We are born to learn and Love.
But the fact remains, that there are
those of us who cannot do any of it,
even if they want to.
There are those who have more
While others have none to spare
While other have nothing at all.

Most of us are blind to facts,
yet we are aware with our wants.
Most succeed in there undertakings,
While most failed no matter how hard they tried.

Others fight for what they believe is rights,
But how right are they to begin with.
Rights is a gift of freedom but even rights
has its own rules.

The world we are in now like the time before it
is a world of difference.
The difference between individuals
Between families, community, religion, Political
Affiliation,race, and even nation within or without.
Yet each one of us should very well know.
We all share the same fate.
For even difference has it's limits.

Others work for peace, some will say I want peace.
But every body has in its own way, a different
notion of peace.
Through out history we have seen great and not so
great men. teaching us their way of peace.
Through love and humility.
Through faith and conversion.
through politics and domination.
Which one would you choose?
and will others choose the same?

Others want peace on Earth
While others want a piece on Earth
If not the whole world itself.
while others say peace my ass.

Others declare they are superior being.
Even though they still need to go to toilet room
and hospital for regular check ups or even worst.
Other say Oh my God
While others say who’s that?

We say I’m from a free world and I can do
everything I want.
Say what I want , Do what I want.
Never thinking that what we may say or do may affect
the lives of those around them.
Realizing it only when the tide has turned.

If someone ask you.
How would you choose to live your life?
In serenity?
or
Adventure?
How far would you go to achieve your serene life.
And what is the limits of your adventure?

We at times think highly of ourself
Only to find out how lowly we’ve become at the end.
We sometimes say go to hell.
Never thinking at times we feel like were in hell.
So the next time you say something absurd like so
don't forget the map.

We sometimes say how bless your are.
Not thinking how they got blessed in the first place.
Or what they’ve done to deserve it.
And if each one of us think deep and hard
we are all actually bless the same way.
And no matter how big or small a blessing is.
All we need to do is to count then slow.
And in the end, we have every reason to be grateful.

We are work hard at present always thinking about the
future.
Only to find a hard fact in the end.
That we do everything we can, and even that has it’s
limits.

That no matter how hard we try.
or How miserable we get.
No matter how happy we are or how sad we get. Or
how Great we’ve become.

Every thing has its limits.
And It’s limit is our own ’DEATH"

For death is as much a part of us, as life is.
